Southwest Public Schools is excited to announce Mr. Edgar A. Contreras as the new Principal of Leadership and Global Studies Academy (LGSA).
Mr. Contreras is a bilingual, award-winning transformational leader with a proven record of driving academic growth, developing strong instructional systems, and building positive school communities. Throughout his career, he has led successful campus turnaround efforts, supported significant gains in student achievement, developed aspiring school leaders, expanded innovative learning opportunities, and strengthened family and community engagement.
His leadership philosophy is grounded in high expectations, data-driven decision-making, collaboration, and a commitment to ensuring every student has access to an exceptional educational experience. We are confident that his experience and passion for students will help LGSA continue to grow, innovate, and achieve at the highest levels.
