Thanksgiving Basket Drive

This would be the day where the kindness of strangers truly matters. This Thanksgiving Basket Drive event, would not be possible without the generosity and connections of strangers and colleagues alike. We give special thanks to Nadia Salazar, and the colleagues she has connections to, at @NextGen Real Estate for their donation of "25 TURKEYS for our Bissonnet families!!" Also a special thanks to her neighbor who baked cakes for those families as well. This event sole purpose was for families with low income, whom might not be able to have a feast this thanksgiving; to be provided with a full course meal, through the act of kindness from strangers they might never know. Here in Southwest Schools, we believe in the spirit of giving to those in need, and our Bissonnet Campus is no exception. We contacted as many parents as possible, letting them know if they needed it we could provide them a needed packaged meal ready for pick up on 11/17/2022 around 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m.. All they had to do was come around the cafeteria entrance and pick up their Thanksgiving basket. Each basket contained a turkey with some vegetables, canned goods, and either a cake or pie on each one. However, as stated this act of kindness would not be possible without all of your donations. It is because of you that we were even able to host this event, that we were able to give to those that could not have a thanksgiving meal.  Thank you all parents, teachers, staff, colleagues, neighbors, and strangers alike for your donations that were able to provide meals to Bissonnet families in need. Happy Thanksgiving folks!!
