Hello everyone TELPAS has arrived once again and our students are ready, to tackle these exams just like any other year... Students you got this, just follow through on your strategies, take your time, and move along. Don't forget students from 3rd-5th grade levels, you are expected to have both your device and charger here in the school, for the remainder of the exam. We will let you know when you will be able to collect them again. Furthermore, the chart behind both Ms. Johnson and Ms. Pasic is for the District STAAR Growth Academic chart. This chart basically a point based goal for all students that will be taking the STAAR exam this spring, in correspondence to how you did on the last STAAR. It demonstrates how the school gets points for the upcoming STAAR exam by comparing that current score with the one you did in the past. For example if the student did poorly on their last exam but still improved on this one; however, still did not make the cut, that is a point. But if the student did well on the last exam but did poorly on this one coming up there is no point at all. All in all, our schools score is dependent on how our students demonstrate their mastery to each subject in accordance the the state's STAAR exams... So students study hard, and do your best when STAAR comes our way in the following months ahead. We know you can do it, we believe in you!
