Benefits

Southwest Schools provide a comprehensive employee benefit package.


Medical Insurance

Our new insurance provider is UnitedHealthCare.  You may enroll in the Choice Plus 9TR plan for medical.  The company pays 75% of the premium cost; the employee incurs the remaining 25% of the cost.


Dental Insurance

Our new dental insurance provider is UnitedHealthCare .  You may enroll in the plan for yourself or your family.  This is a voluntary plan and the cost is completely incurred by the employee. Please see the information below regarding costs and coverage.


Vision Insurance

Vision insurance is provided by the VSP Signature Plan. You may enroll in the plan for yourself or your family.  This is a voluntary plan and the cost is completely incurred by the employee. Please see the information below regarding costs and coverage.

Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

All active full time employees who work at least 30 hours per week are entitled to a company paid group life insurance policy.  Coverage includes $10,000 life insurance and $10,000 accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage.  This is a company paid benefit – there is no cost to the employee.


 

Pre-Tax Retirement Savings

You may contribute to a 403(b) pretax retirement plan.  This is a voluntary program that allows you to invest dollars from your paycheck before taxes are deducted.

Holidays

Non-teaching staff receives 10 paid holidays.

 

Personal Days

Employees accrue ½ day personal time for each month employed.
